During the 1980s, as real property values continued to rise, a number of Mandelbaum-affiliated property owners began to exchange into multifamily assets in neighboring states. With successful endeavors in Nevada and then Texas, exchange opportunities presented themselves in Arizona, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah and Washington state.
In the late 1990s and early 2000s, while continuing to invest in Southern California real property assets, the extended Mandelbaum & Associates, Inc. investor group began developing multifamily assets, while continuing to acquire and exchange into more out-of-state real property assets.
Today, the Mandelbaums and their affiliate family offices develop, own, and operate real property assets throughout the United States. Mandelbaum & Associates, Inc., with corporate offices located just south of Los Angeles in Manhattan Beach, California, is owned and operated by two generations of the Mandelbaum family.
